Walk the Camino del Cielo y Colibríes (The Trail of Heaven & Hummingbirds)!

Located off one of Costa Rica's pre-eminent scenic drives, every time you drive into or out of Vista Mundo, you'll be treated to some of the most breathtaking views in the world. The Camino is a hot-spot for world-class cyclers, bird watchers and anyone who simply wants to have their breath taken away.

Located off the Camino del Cielo y Colibríes, Vista Mundo is located in one of the pre-eminent bird watching corridors of the world. Because of Costa Rica's narrow shape, literally thousands of species of birds migrate through the Aguacate Mountains every year. Learn to recognize the calls of Toucans and Oropendolas. See large flocks of green parrots swoop past Vista Mundo's fresh water pool for an afternoon drink. And have fun spotting many birds you'll know from up north as they make their yearly migration to warmer climates. We also are frequently visited by white-faced monkeys, nine-banded armadillos, coatis, agoutis, jaguarundis and many other local mammals.
