Bird Watching & Animal Spotting at Vista Mundo
Located off the Camino del Cielo y Colibríes, Vista Mundo is located in one of the pre-eminent bird watching corridors of the world. Because of Costa Rica's narrow shape, literally thousands of species of birds migrate through the Aguacate Mountains every year. Learn to recognize the calls of Toucans and Oropendolas. See large flocks of green parrots swoop past Vista Mundo's fresh water pool for an afternoon drink. And have fun spotting many birds you'll know from up north as they make their yearly migration to warmer climates. We also are frequently visited by white-faced monkeys, nine-banded armadillos, coatis, agoutis, jaguarundis and many other local mammals.
